Associate Network Technician

Associate Network Technician

Responsibilities:


  • Plan, design, configure, install and maintain enterprise functional networks services across local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless LAN (WLAN) 
  • Perform and execute complex migrations after developing a comprehensive execution plan that overcomes challenges with the least downtime 
  • Perform accurate test methodologies and criteria based on thorough discussion with the clients on per project practice 
  • Interact with clients in meeting and on-sites including some pre-sales environments meetings to align and review of requirements and best practices, workshop planning, reporting and recommendation reviews 
  • Assist application development and support groups on the technical aspects of network technology implementations 
  • Perform and oversee wireless site surveys in conjunction with new builds, network upgrades, refresh, migration, and troubleshooting 
  • Strong working knowledge of radio frequency (RF) propagation, antenna theory, antenna types and practical usage in the field with various platforms 
  • Provide knowledge transfer and detailed design/operational documentation to clients 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, technology partners, and internal teams 
  • Proactively identifies and assesses network issues performs troubleshooting, researches solutions, focusing on root cause


Minimum Qualifications:


  • BS degree in Computer Engineering or a related subject 
  • Cisco CCNP certification required, CCIE certification preferred 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with Multiprotocol LAN and WAN  
  • Exceptional customer service skills 
  • Dress appropriately for all activities performed on behalf of the company

Responsibilities:


  • Installation of Cat 5e/6 Structured Cabling Systems according to industry standards such as EIA/TIA, BICSI, NEC 
  • Patch ethernet cables into switches in a clean and pleasing fashion 
  • Install phones, computers, servers, wireless Access Points, switches, and routers 
  • Install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling 
  • Ability to interconnect fiber cables 
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and time management 
  • Perform troubleshooting of system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long-term efficiency of network 
  • Ability to provide technical direction and offer comprehensive advice and instructions to customers 
  • Climb ladders up to 24-ft. tall (no fear of heights) 
  • Ability to lift 50-plus lbs Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively 
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure









Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associate degree in computer and network engineering or relevant field 
  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies 
  • Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills 
  • Proven experience as a network technician or relevant position CompTIA N+ or CCENT Certification is required
